Project Description
Micro Needling
Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. A device with fine needles creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
In this class, you will learn to identify the clinical uses of microneedling, demonstrate treatment protocols and the proper use of microneedling devices, and understand liability issues of being an esthetician who performs these procedures. Since microneedling can loosely be considered an invasive procedure, it is vital that you master all of the important safety protocols that come with it, including the proper tools and techniques you must adhere to when performing this procedure. You will learn how to properly consult with a client and determine if they have any health issues that are not suitable for this procedure or if they have to prepare their skin prior to the treatment. You will be taught the proper pre-treatment procedure, cleaning the skin and using sterilized tools, how to use a numbing agent, and how to make you client comfortable before, during, and after the procedure. You will be taught what formulations and ingredients of topical products are used with microneedling and how to properly advise the client for post-treatment care.
“If you want to relax, watch the clouds pass by if you’re laying on the grass, or sit in front of the creek; just doing nothing and having those still moments is what really rejuvenates the body…”.
